Traiker vs Notion: shared brain or private brain for your agents?
Updated 20 October 2026
Notion now presents itself as your team's shared brain: the workspace where people and agents find context and remember what matters. Traiker is your private brain: an encrypted database of your own for you or your company, with templates for your AI agents. Your data is yours: at Traiker we do not train models on it or process it, you can export or delete it whenever you want, and you do not need to know anything about databases. If your team already works in Notion, it is a very solid option; if what matters most to you is that the data is yours alone, Traiker.
What changed on 19 October 2026
On 19 October 2026 Notion announced its Notion AI revamp. According to its announcement and its release note, it has revamped Notion MCP so that your favourite agents, such as ChatGPT or Claude, use Notion as a “shared brain”, a shared brain where they can find context, remember what matters and create things that can be shared. Memory sync is already live and MCP skills are coming soon.
It is also now possible to connect a ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro or Go) to the personal Notion Agent, bringing your own model key (BYOK) is in private alpha for the Enterprise plan, and Notion agents can work on a task for up to 24 hours, with their own computer and browser. Notion has also announced an AI Command Center for admins, coming soon.
What Notion does well: it is a complete workspace for teams, with documents, wikis and databases, its own agents, version history and, since version 3.8 of 13 October, per-column permissions and controls that let admins see and revoke MCP connections. If the context you need is your team's and it already lives in Notion, using it makes a lot of sense.
Traiker starts from somewhere else: it is not a team document workspace but your private brain. Every person or company has their own database, separate from the others and encrypted, with templates so you can start without building anything from scratch. It is designed to be queried by the assistants you already use over MCP, and we are opening access gradually through the beta.

- A revamp of Notion MCP so agents use Notion as a shared brain, with memory sync already live and MCP skills coming soon.
